Chapter 01 Mid-Boss

Punisher is the most annoying to fight of the Chapter 01 Mid-Bosses, due to the frequency of his attacks, especially when you are playing a melee character.

Its regular attack patterns consists of:

  1. Wide Sweep: Swings his mace while stationary.
  2. Plunge Attack: Deals damage upon landing.
  3. Mace Hammer Attack: Sends shockwaves towards the other side of the room.
  4. Spinning Attack: Spins his mace while moving.
  5. Flanking Strike: Deals damage to his immediate sides.

For his Wide Sweep and Plunge Attacks, players should avoid the hit zone, which will be marked in red prior to his attack.

For his Mace Hammer Attack, players should stand next to him, or at the other end of the room to avoid getting hit. Alternatively, players may time and dash through the shockwaves sent across the room.

At its 50% HP Marker, Punisher will ramp up his attacks' frequency, and gain immunity while jumping (Plunge Attack).

At its 10% HP Marker, Punisher will perform multiple attacks in quick succession, all whilst being immune to damage. Players should avoid staying near him during this duration. Afterwards, he will perform a Tornado Attack, causing the player to be sucked towards the center of the room where he stands. Players typically need to dash away if their character's MOV SPD is low. However, they need to be cautious when playing characters that dash in the opposite direction (e.g. Hunter, Shaman) as the Tornado Attack's suction power is strong and will inevitably deal damage if the player fails to change direction in time.
